U.S. Institute of Peace: Online Course in Community-based Peacebuilding!

Community-based Peacebuilding: Engaging Youth

As educators we must view youth as assets, as a part of the solution to conflict in our world. The United States Institute of Peace is bringing you a 4-week, online course, led by Alison Milofsky, focused on supporting you, "community-based peacebuilders...who want to channel the energy and enthusiasm of young people in positive ways"!

This skills-based course "is intended to be very practical, providing participants with exercises, for example, on active listening techniques. Topics covered include defining peace and conflict, conflict analysis, conflict styles, communication, negotiation, mediation and becoming a peacebuilder." - USIP

This professional development opportunity starts on January 5, 2014.  Sign up today!
