During the Symposium, IREX sat down with high school mathematics teacher, Briana Rodriguez, to talk about how her TGC experience has helped her transform her teaching and better equip her students with 21st century skills. Rodriguez teaches at Alexander Hamilton High School, a large public school in Los Angeles, California, and has applied global education practices to her classrooms in in new ways, empowering her students to be more active, engaged learners.

Teaching and learning is transformed through targeted training, an international field experience, and global collaboration. TGC is a program of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and administered by IREX.
